The Adventures of Tintin at Sea
Yves Horeau edited and translated by Michael Farr. John Murray, 2004. Published in conjunction with the exhibition held at the National Maritime Museum in Grenwhich in 2004 this book is devoted to all things nautical that occurred in Tintin's worldwide adventures. The exhibition marked the 75th anniversary of Hergé's creation.

Although Tintin's adventures were fanciful creations, Hergé made certain that the settings were realistic. This book shows exactly how much research was done for Tintin's adventures on the High Seas, which included The Crab with the Golden Claws (where in he first meets Captain Haddock) The Shooting Star, The Secret of the Unicorn and its sequel Red Rackham's Treasure.

Georges Remi, better known as Hergé, the creator of Tintin & Snowy, was born a century ago. He left us an exceptional legacy, at the center of which was Tintin, but also included much other work. There are many examples of Hergé's original artwork showing how and why he created certain pieces and how the books were edited in the 1930's and 1940's when stories that had originally appeared in black and white in magazines were to be republished in colour for the 63 page album format. The book contains a biography of Tintin's creator Georges (Hergé) Remi and gives us the background in terms of his life and world events that shaped the Tintin stories. The Art of Harvey Kurtzman: The Mad Genius of Comics
