Originally created by Hal Foster and now sketched by award-winning creators Gary Gianni and Mark Schultz, Prince Valiant is an epic comic adventure that has maintained a continuous story line since its debut in 1937. This collection follows Prince Valiant and his son Nathan as they prepare for battle following King Arthur's abdication. Prince Valiant: In The Days of King Arthur volume 1 1937-1938
Harold R Foster. Libri Impressi, 2008. The first of 22 volumes reprinting one of the greatest newspaper adventure strips of all time. Of course there have been reprints before but the difference with this edition is that for the first time the black and white reproduction is crystal clear, showing the incredible penmanship. This is a fine way to begin an appreciation of Foster's masterpiece in a large format hard cover.

Where possible these pages have been reproduced from original proofs from the King Features archives, others come from newspaper pages that have had the colour dropped and the blacks and shadings meticulously restored.
