Fighting American, The Simon & Kirby Classic

During the height of the Cold War, Simon & Kirby created an all-new super patriotic hero, Fighting American. Their earlier creation, Captain America from 1941, remains an icon of American idealism. Fighting American appeared in seven issues of his own title, published by Prize Comics, before indifferent sales forced his cancellation. The ironic stories didn't suit the prevailing mood, it seemed.

Here then, are the complete stories from 1954-5, plus the shelved ones, which appeared in 1966. As an added bonus, the previously unpublished “Beef Box” is presented, for the first time.
