T.V. Boardman books with Denis McLoughlin covers
We are very pleased to be able to offer these extremely rare and collectible 1950s and early 1960s crime novels published by T.V. Boardman, with their vivid and often beautiful cover artwork by Denis McLoughlin.
This artist had a long and dazzling career working for T.V. Boardman, including - with his brother - the Buffalo Bill Annuals . His work for the American Bloodhound Mystery series of hardboiled crime novels is as punchy and stunning as you might expect.
He employed very bold, frequently deceptively simple design. Others are wonderfully atmospheric, redolent of a New York that existed only in the imagination.
These hard cover novels, published fifty years ago, are now increasingly scarce and it is quite an event that such a significant collection comprising 41 novels, plus a signed letter from McLoughlin with one volume, has become available.
A fantastic opportunity for the artist's growing number of fans to own a piece of history. With the exception of one title there is only one copy available, so order soon to avoid disappointment.
