Survival: Trapped Beneath the Seas. In the China Seas in 1930, the 2,000 ton steamer Yuta slammed into the side of the submarine Poseidon.

Six men were trapped inside as the sub sank to the bottom. 29 had escaped from the Conning Tower before the sub sank. The rest of the crew drowned except six men lead by Petty Officer Patrick Willis.

This is the original artwork from Look and learn no. 580 (24 February 1973).
