Pirates raise the Skull & Crossbones as their ship closes in on a merchantman. This was the cover to Look and Learn #802 published 28th May 1977. It accompanied a short feature on the career of Captain Kidd who became a privateer, raiding enemy ships, and was then given the job of eradicating pirates before allegedly turning on British shipping. After a trial in1701 he was hung but never revealed the location of his alleged pirate hoard.
